2026-2027 General board

Sarah Mannion

Chaplain

Sarah Mannion is serving as the MOSCDC Chaplain for the 2026–2027 board year and has been part of MOSCDC for the past five years, including three years serving on the board. Originally from Durham, North Carolina, Sarah loves the rich history, friendships, and strong sense of camaraderie that make MOSCDC such a special community.

Sarah and her husband Luke, a Marine reservist stationed at Quantico, are a proud artillery family with three children — Mollie, Callum, and Lochlan. One of her favorite duty stations was Camp Pendleton, where she still misses the beautiful Pacific sunsets.

She loves antique shopping, especially blue and white pieces, along with piano, lifting weights, movies, Sephora runs, and spicy snacks. Sarah is also a classically trained pianist and secretly loves organizing!

Sarah is especially excited to continue building friendships, welcoming new members, and exploring more of the nation’s capital together through historical outings and volunteer opportunities this year.

Jennifer Johnson

Hospitality Chair

Jennifer Johnston is serving as the MOSCDC Hospitality Chair for the 2026–2027 board year. Originally from Texas, Jennifer has been involved with MOSCDC for five years and values the friendships, experiences, and opportunities the organization brings to military spouses and families.

Jennifer and her husband have been married for 26 years and have two daughters. With a strong USMC connection, she especially loved living in Monterey, California, one of her favorite duty stations.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys baking, crafting, and spending time with friends. She loves trips and tours and is excited for the new ideas and fresh opportunities coming to MOSCDC this year. Her dream vacation destination is Italy, and one of her favorite classic movies is Sixteen Candles.

Jennifer says what she loves most about MOSCDC is “the opportunity to do things I wouldn’t otherwise do on my own,” and she looks forward to another memorable year serving alongside this incredible board and community.

Christine Stewart

Marketing Chair

Christine Stewart is serving as the MOSCDC Marketing Chair for the 2026–2027 board year and brings creativity, humor, and a whole lot of military family experience to the group! Originally from Virginia Beach and San Diego as a Navy brat, Christine has been involved with MOSCDC for the past two years.

Christine has been married to her Marine for 24 years and together they have five children, an adorable mini schnauzer named Moxie, and a very full house! Her family’s military roots run deep — she’s a Marine Corps spouse, Navy daughter, Army sister, and Air Force mom.

She loves Disneyland trips, crafting, reading, sudoku, and all the baked goods — especially brownies, donuts, and Crumbl cookies. One fun fact? Christine literally has a “spine of steel!”

Christine loves MOSCDC because it gives her the chance to explore the area with friends and discover places she might never visit on her own. Her hidden talent is packing things into tiny spaces like a Tetris master!

Sabrina Cicci

Newsletter Chair

Sabrina Cicchi is serving as the MOSCDC Newsletter Chair for the 2026–2027 board year and brings a love of travel, volunteering, and meaningful connection to the team! Originally from Annapolis, Sabrina has been involved with MOSCDC for the past year and loves the organization’s historic outings and opportunities to serve the community.

Sabrina and her Marine pilot husband are parents to three children — two in college and one in high school — and are preparing for an exciting PCS to Lisbon this July. One of her favorite duty stations was Tel Aviv, and she dreams of one day traveling to Borneo to see orangutans or exploring Machu Picchu.

A former college athlete, Sabrina enjoys yoga, travel, romance and fantasy series, and peanut butter cups from Aldi. She especially loves MOSCDC trips and volunteer events that create memories and meaningful connections.

Sabrina works as a systems specialist handling websites, email, and newsletters — making her the perfect fit for the role!

Jennifer Port

Programs Chair

Jennifer Port is serving as the MOSCDC Programs Chair for the 2026–2027 board year and is excited to help create memorable experiences for members throughout the year. Originally from Pennsylvania, Jennifer is new to MOSCDC but has already embraced the friendships, opportunities, and excitement the club has to offer.

Jennifer and her husband, an active-duty CWO4, are raising two soccer-loving boys. A retired Master Sergeant herself, she brings a wealth of leadership experience and a passion for serving military families. California was one of her favorite places to live, and her adventures have taken her to an impressive 42 countries around the world.

When she’s not planning events, Jennifer enjoys traveling, relaxing with a well-earned nap, and starting her day with black coffee and honey. Her dream vacation is simple: anywhere her family is together. She’s especially excited about planning unique experiences for members and helping make this year one to remember.

And if you ask her what she loves most about MOSCDC, her answer is easy: the people—and apparently the President isn't too bad either!

Julia Sampsel

Reservations Chair

Julia Sampsel is serving as the MOSCDC Reservations Chair for the 2026–2027 board year. Originally from Houston, Texas, she is new to the MOSCDC community and excited to build friendships and create connections.

Julia’s husband is an F-35 pilot transitioning to a Pentagon tour, and together they have two children, Mason (10) and Naomi (8), along with a dog and six horses! A lifelong horse lover, Julia is a competitive horseback rider who shows American Saddlebreds. She and her family also own a farm in Versailles, Kentucky, where they breed horses.

When she’s not at the barn, Julia enjoys painting, board and card games, and hopes to learn mahjong soon. Her dream vacation destination is Greece, and she loves the idea of game nights and community-building events through MOSCDC.

Julia says she is most excited about “making new friends and building a community” while returning to an area filled with culture and opportunities. She’s also pretty handy around the house — one of her hidden talents!

Laura Viehmeyer

Social Media Chair

Laura Viehmeyer is serving as the MOSCDC Social Media Chair for the 2026–2027 board year and brings creativity, humor, and lots of personality to the group! Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania — but calling Key West home after living there for 10 years — Laura has been involved with MOSCDC for the past year and loves the friendships and connections that come from the community.

Laura and her husband Rob, a USMC infantry officer currently working at the Pentagon, have two very active boys, Grant (9) and Garrett (7), who keep life busy with sports and activities. Key West holds a special place in her heart because it’s where she and Rob met in 2014.

A self-proclaimed crafting addict, Laura loves crocheting, hand embroidery, reading, and apparently buying enough craft supplies for a lifetime 😂 She and her husband even got traditional hand-poked bamboo tattoos from a Buddhist monk while honeymooning in Thailand!

Her perfect day? A beach, a book, a margarita, and absolutely nothing on the agenda.

Evita Mosqueda

Website Administrator

Evita Mosqueda is serving as the MOSCDC Web Administrator for the 2026–2027 board year and is excited to help create fun, connection, and community throughout the year! Originally from Merced, California, Evita has been involved with MOSCDC for the past three months and already loves the camaraderie and welcoming atmosphere of the group.

Evita comes from a multicultural Filipino and Mexican family and is a proud Marine and Marine Corps spouse. She says every duty station has been memorable, but Baton Rouge stands out for its culture and festivities.

She loves dancing, exploring new places like a tourist wherever she lives, and enjoying a good matcha latte or red velvet cake. One of her wildest adventures? Completing two solo free-falling jumps — although she says she’ll happily stay on the plane from now on

Evita is especially excited to meet new people, make memories, and enjoy social gatherings and trips this year. Fun fact: she loves dancing!
