  Join MOSCDC at the Ambassador's Residence to celebrate the ORTHODOX NEW YEAR AND 2026! From the culture to the celebration, we promise you a multi-faceted evening to cover all interests in Serbian culture. Your evening features:

  Meet the Diplomats: They will personally welcome you to the residence and give you a special greeting about Serbia and its offerings. Serbian Cuisine: Enjoy a heavy buffet of native Serbian food prepared exclusively for this event by a native chef. Serbian Drinks: Enjoy a sampling of traditional Serbian libations, including wine, beer, and other non alcoholic drinks. Serbian Art Display: Experience the rare art on hand from Serbia and learn about its meaning and culture as it relates to their native land. Serbian Folklore Presentation: A Serbian folklore group will present the music, dance, and culture of their beloved country. Serbia Film: Enjoy a presentation of Serbia’s cities, countryside, tourism, and culture. Late Night DJ and Party: The evening continues with dance hits from Serbia and Top 40 USA/Modern Beats!

  Did the holidays leave you with a gift you’re still wondering why you received? Now’s your chance to do something about it. Join MOSCDC for a fun, laugh-filled dinner evening at the Army and Navy Club in Washington, D.C. featuring a Dirty Santa–style gift swap — but with a twist. The Twist: Bring the worst gift you received this holiday season for a chance to trade it for someone else’s equally questionable treasure. No shopping required. No pressure. Just great company, good food, and unforgettable laughs.

  How It Works: Bring the worst holiday gift you received this season. All who bring a gift may participate. Gifts will be swapped in a Dirty Santa–style game. You might leave with something better or at least a great story. Participation in the gift swap is optional but highly encouraged. Please bring only clean and appropriate items (humor encouraged.)

  Join MOSCDC for an unforgettable day trip to New Orleans, packed with iconic sights, bold flavors, and just the right mix f fun, culture, and shopping! From powdered-sugar beignets to Mardi Gras magic, this is the perfect way to experience the heart of the Big Easy - all in one fabulous day. We will arrive early in the morning after a short flight from DCA, giving us a full day to soak in the energy and charm of New Orleans before heading back to the airport later in the evening. First Stop: Cafe du Monde we will kick off the day wth one of New Orleans most famous traditions - hot beignets and cafe au lait in the French Quarter. Next Stop: Mardi Gras World Experience will take us behind the scenes at Mardi Gras World to see the incredible floats, costumes, and artistry that bring Mardi Gras to life. Cajun/Creole Lunch at a classic restaurant, featuring bold Louisiana flavors and a lively local atmosphere. Think gumbo, jambalaya, fried favorites, and maybe a festive cocktail or to. After lunch, we will get to enjoy some free time to explore and shop in the French Quarter and surrounding areas. Browse charming boutiques, local art, handmade gifts, an iconic New Orleans treats. Return to the airport late afternoon with plenty of time to spare, tired in the best way after a full and fabulous day. Grab your friends and come experience the magic, flavor and spirit of New Orleans with us - we can't wait to share the day together!
